whenever the cce servers(Version 4.0) are run on the machine with 8GB of RAM the cce services do not run properly.Although the services are seen in Started Mode in the windows services but in the CCE Control panel they are seen greyed out.If the cce is run on cce on any other machine(HP server) with less than 8 GB of RAM it works fine without any issue.

Checked in the installation guide that the minimum requirement for cce servers in 2 GB of RAM.

Is there any known problem with the cce being run on machines with 8 GB of RAM?

More likely a Microsoft issue. Note for example that Windows 2003 Server 32bit standard edition only supports 4GB RAM.
The Windows Operating System needs to be modified to support more than 4GB.
